This edition of The Weekend Claw is rather short. No, I didn’t blow off searching the web for news on Thursday and Friday. I simply didn’t see much solid news worthy of my readers’ attention.
“Democrats who want to pass cap-and-trade legislation are not attempting to do so because they know for sure that global warming is on its way. They have no idea. They want cap-and-trade because it imposes enormous taxes and controls on industry, which is something they want to do anyway.” That’s just one little bit of Dan Calabrese’s reaction to the ClimateGate scandal.
A while ago, Rupert Murdoch and News Corp fired cop-killer apologist Marc Lamont Hill because of his support for black racists and cop killers. For some unknown reason, Bill O’Reilly is bringing Hill back as a regular on his show. So much for me watching O’Reilly regularly.
How’s THIS for chutzpah? Senator Conrad (Donkey-North Dakota) is defending the Affirmative Action Attorney General’s decision to bring KSM and the others to trial in Noo Yawk City by saying “if people don’t believe in our system, maybe they ought to go somewhere else.” That’s funny, but I’ve been saying the exact same thing regarding the Constitution, capitalism, and traditional American values, but the Democrats are determined to throw all of those out the window to CHANGE America to suit their marxist-socialist ideals.
Even more chutzpah was on display at the state dinner for the Indian Prime Minister, as Michaele and Tareq Salahi crashed the party.
In his “press conference” with the Indian PM, The Naïve One reiterated his determination to work toward a goal of a world without nuclear weapons. Does this idiot really believe that the hands of time can be turned back and the technology to make a nuclear bomb be made to disappear?
Charges have FINALLY been filed against the six SEIU purple-shirt union thugs who beat a black conservative Tea Party protester in St. Louis. The only disappointing thing, besides the length of time it took, is that the charges are just city ordinance charges, not felony assault.
Those of us in the eeeeevilllll right wing conspiracy have been saying it fo some time now, but Jeffrey H. Anderson, a Senior Fellow at the Pacific Research Institute has finally published a chart that shows the Congressional Budget Office’s TRUE estimate of the first ten years of Obamacare, not the ten years that include 4 years of taxes with no payouts…you know, the ten years that the Democrats keep using in their claims. The proper estimate shows the price tag to be $1,800,000,000,000.00 instead of the Democrats’ of-quoted $872,000,000,000.00. Be aware, however, that the real cost will be at least double that amount, since all governmental programs blow the official estimates out of the water.
Part of the Senate Obamacare plan would have a big negative effect on those with chronic illnesses and for families with special needs kids. Of course the Democrats believe that all special needs kids should be aborted anyway, so they’re all-too-glad to pay for THAT!
The Crawfish may not be a fan of his basketball playing style, but nobody can ever say that Shaquille O’Neal isn’t a really good person, and his actions this week prove it yet again.
If y’all come across any weird/stoooopid/strange news stories that might be fodder for The Weekly Claw or The Weekend Claw, e-mail them to me at at1aw_usn@yahoo.com and I’ll consider ‘em. Yes, I will give you newshounds credit.
“War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic
feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature, and has no chance of being free unless made or kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.” -John Stuart Mill
